What is the unique highlight of this project?

Harish Bhimani, a creative person, a voiceover artist and a writer wanted a small office at his residence to help him work from home for a considerable amount of time. Since Mr. Bhimani didn’t want the bathroom, we took the decision to convert it into a home office. This office would help him get his voiceover done in emergency situations without any hassles. Initially the client was skeptical about the conversion but once we convinced him about the design, he accepted the idea and gave us the go ahead. Mr. Bhimani was very happy with the end result.

What was the colour scheme and furniture used in the home office?

Since the space was very small, we used a single colour with a sober touch like beige. Apart from beige, we have also used off white colour. The home office has a small table with a sliding feature and seating arrangement that could accommodate one or two visitors.

Did you face any challenges while executing the project?

Since the bathroom space was very small (8 ft by 5 ft), there were chances that the voice would echo, disturbing the recording process. To overcome this issue, we made open bookshelves to tone down the sound.

This project was designed twenty five years ago for a jovial, happy go lucky creative Harish Bhimani who has conducted a lot of shows with Lata Mangeshkar. The client researched a lot about the nightingale, used references and wrote extensively on various topics.
